Trucking and Women 1 Year, 6 Months ago
I'm thinking about trucking because it's good pay. How are women treated on the road?

It was really hard at first. It takes awhile to get some respect, but I think I'm finally there- it's worth it.

Women don't belong on the road.

It's tough but definitely worth it when I earned respect on the road. It's a good way to meet people too. I met my partner, who's also a truck driver and we've been together for about 3 years now.

I think for women it can be hard if they have a family at home. I know that with Swift you can bring a person on the truck with you once it's approved but it may be challenging.

There were some who said we didn't belong in the military either, but we are. I will admit it was not easy, but i made it (18 yrs) and im a much stonger & better person because of it. I proved to myself that i can / will do whatever it takes to survive in this world. Now im a trucker and i love what i do!! Why do u feel a woman should not b in this profession?
